Documented batch
L2025-01
Special Grade
Eurofins assessed the tested sample as Special Grade under ISO 3632-1:2025, based on the analyses performed. Quality report AR-733-2025-00206306-02 was updated on 24 August 2026. An updated report date is distinct from the original testing date.
The first three values are ISO test measurements, not percentages. Results refer to the submitted sample, rather than every individual retail pack.

Which batch would you like to check?
Look for the lot or batch number on your packaging. It connects the product with the named sample and its documentation. If you cannot find a number or have questions about the connection, use our contact page.
This overview currently identifies batch L2025-01. Results for an earlier sample should not be transferred to a new harvest or batch.
02 / Testing scope
Three areas. Different conclusions.
A quality measurement does not replace a residue analysis. Read each saffron laboratory report according to what was commissioned and actually tested.
Colour, bitterness and aroma
Crocin, picrocrocin, safranal and moisture are the quality parameters documented here. The classification is quoted with the laboratory’s assessment and the relevant batch.
Specified residues
Results relate to the commissioned analysis and its reporting limits. A result below a reporting limit does not automatically establish complete freedom from residues.
Metals
Read measurements such as arsenic, lead and cadmium together with their units, methods and laboratory assessment. Substances not included in an analysis should not be described as tested.
03 / Reading a report
Four details make the results traceable.
01 · The batch
The batch identifier connects the documentation with the named sample.
02 · The dates
Distinguish the analysis date from a later report correction or update.
03 · Value and unit
A measurement belongs with its method, unit and stated uncertainty.
04 · The assessment
Interpret the outcome within the scope of the analyses performed.
Saffrona’s explanatory text and a laboratory’s own assessment have different roles. Our saffron quality guide explains how to read these distinctions.
04 / Common questions
Before drawing a conclusion.
Is every pack size tested separately?
The reports concern submitted samples carrying a batch identifier, rather than every individual retail pack. A pack is connected to the documentation through its batch.
Is the laboratory assessment ISO certification of Saffrona?
No. The documents describe the assessment of the tested saffron sample. They are not an ISO certificate for the company or its management system.
Does laboratory testing mean organic or residue-free?
No. A report shows the commissioned scope and the results. Organic certification, complete freedom from residues and health effects cannot be inferred from those results alone.
Do these results apply to the next harvest?
No. A new harvest or batch needs its own identification and documentation.
Why can the report and analysis dates differ?
A report may later be corrected or updated. This does not necessarily mean a new measurement took place.
